This is a great recipe! I decreased the blistering powder to ii tsps, added 1 tsp of vanilla and 1 tsp. fresh orange juice. Anybody raved about them. I tossed pecans in for those that like them, blueberries for others and there were no complaints. Also for the little ones, I add a couple of drops of syrup right earlier I turn them the kickoff time, and they eat them on the run! Thanks for sharing this recipe!!

I halved the carbohydrate and served them with real course three maple syrup and they were so light and tasty.

I've read all the other reviews, and for those who said they were flat and aweful, yous must have mixed them for too long! I've made the recipe As IS several times, and permit the batter balance for 5 minutes and they were Then fluffy and tastey. I accept likewise fabricated them with a niggling vanilla and that added a super season! And so, trounce your egg, people, and mix your dry out ingredients together, and you won't have to mix and mix the batter. Only mix until blended, and let it residuum a chip before you cook them and they will be great!!!

09/09/2006

10/07/2010
Mmm... pancakes. I used less blistering powder because 2T just sounds like way too much for only 1c of flour. I also added fresh mashed banana and tamarillo, vanilla extract and cinnamon, therefore I had to change the amount of milk to the create the proper thickness. Thanks for the base of operations recipe!
06/21/2010
I take finally found a recipe that came out great for pancakes! I did what other reviewers suggested and cut the baking powder downwards to 2 tsp. added vanilla and cut the salt to 1/2 tsp also used butter instead of oil. I used 50/l White and Wheat flour and they had great texture!! kids loved them and hubby. I noticed other reviews had problems with too thin or runny, I don't know if this makes a difference but a couple things: Mix dry and wet ingredients separately and so mix well together Make sure pan is hot but not too hot like medium low estrus, bandage iron pan works really well. Don't grease the pan too much it will make the batter fifty-fifty thinner. Just a few tips that made mine turn out great!!
04/02/2006
Delicious. I added vanilla and a chip of cinnamon. Adjusted the blistering powder to two tsp, which seems perfect. Added a dollop of sour cream to the mixture and composite, every bit someone else suggested. I will never buy pancake mix again!
12/27/2010
This recipe is non very practiced as written. If you take time to read all the reviews or yous want to develop your ain recipe, perhaps this recipe works well for that. All the same, it should not be rated based on the changes.
12/30/2010
These really are easy. I made information technology as is the get-go time just after that I cutting the bp back to two t, the sugar in half since syrup is sweet enough, and the salt in half. I utilize melted butter instead of oil.
09/eleven/2006
Personally I don't observe the amounts in this recipe to be off, although information technology does sound like a lot of baking powder, I followed the recipe and the pancakes came out really skillful. 04/10/2011
PEOPLE Demand TO REVIEW THE ACTUAL RECIPE, Non THEIR MODIFIED VERSION!!! I just made these with the original two Tbsp of Blistering Powder. Why would I do that, with information technology looking like such an obvious error?? Because the recipe reviewers gave information technology 4 stars, then I figured I was wrong and the recipe was right. Dangit, people, if you accept to modify the recipe like crazy then it's NOT a expert recipe. If it has a huge error that makes it horrible if made according to the recipe, information technology'south Not a proficient recipe.
03/09/2003
Very piece of cake, light and fluffy. Skillful recipe volition use over again. Might cut the baking powder to 3/4 Tablespoon.
03/05/2011
Delicious!!I honey to add together bananas or blueberries.I also similar when I put peanut butter and jelly on it, my husband loves information technology too!
02/13/2014
Good recipe. I substituted a snack size of unsweetened applesauce instead of the oil. Also, I added ane tablespoon of ground flax seeds for extra cobweb and nutrition. Awful! Salty, flat, and too greasy. Made ii pancakes, threw them away, added LOTS of carbohydrate to endeavor to correct the saltiness, to no avail. Threw out all of the mixture and ate a bowl of cereal.
11/thirty/2014
I followed the recipe exactly except I added a teaspoon of vanilla I made these for my hard to please 6 year old grandson and he loved them I volition make them once again. I don't understand why anybody likes to say they added this and cut out that and they were terrible then criticize the recipe you should just mail your own recipes and terminate criticizing everyone else's as conspicuously if you lot have made then many changes your not making these pancakes your making your own recipe but just similar to criticize others I believe that the people that are posting their recipes here are trying to be helpful not torn apart by a bunch of critical hateful other people if you haven't anything nice to say please keep it to yourselves every bit I find it very offensive!
12/30/2010
This was really good, no demand to spend the extra money on pancake mixes anymore. This recipe is quick and piece of cake. I had to add just a flake more flour to the batter, only i'grand certain it varies with the quality of flour used.
04/thirteen/2003
We needed to modify the recipe substantially. It was far likewise salty and not fluid enough. We cut the salt to one-one-half teaspoon, halved the baking powder and added about one/4 cup of water and information technology was fine.
04/14/2002
had to add 1 tsp of vanilla and cut the baking pulverization slightly later on that they were fantasitic.
05/14/2002
Talk about Easy!, and delicious too!
03/20/2009

07/24/2009
theres too much baking pulverization in it and its actually salty.
02/16/2006

09/26/2008
Fast & fab. Why did I ever buy mix?
10/06/2010
Definitely cut the baking powder down to 2 tsp similar other reviewers said. I also didn't use any oil equally I accept a nonstick pan. They came out nifty!! Side by side time I think I'll add a tiny splash of vanilla, only they really didn't even need it. This is a keeper.
06/xvi/2006
I was looking for a quick and like shooting fish in a barrel pancake recipe, only i that tasted like information technology took a little more than time to prepare. This is definatly NOT that recipe. The baking pulverisation is overpowering, fifty-fifty cut in one-half. Not fluffy at all written as is. I'll stick to my own pancake recipe, takes a picayune more than time to beat the egg whites, but and so worth it.
04/24/2008
If you allow the concoction residuum for 5 minutes or and so before you offset cooking it, the baking powder volition have time to actuate. Without the rest time, you'll finish up with a runny batter that's hard to control on the griddle. The pancakes could use some actress flavor from buttermilk or vanilla, or fruit added to the pancake while it cooks. Overall, this is a decent basic pancake recipe.
01/03/2009
please!!!! modify this recipe to reflect the fact that 2tbs of baking pulverization is WAY TOO MUCH. and one tsp of salt is simply gross. Afterward I tasted the beginning "pancake" I had to add another cup of flour, another egg and more milk, forth with a brown bannana to the mix just so I didnt take to throw information technology all out... DONT FOLLOW DIRECTIONS.
03/11/2002

This was awful...style besides much baking pulverisation made information technology actually medicinal and biting.
01/24/2010

01/29/2011

x/24/2009
I requite these pancakes a four, with some changes. I followed the recommendation of 2tsp blistering powder. I also added 2T brownish sugar instead of white, a tsp of cinnamon, and I added a tsp (and a bit more) of vanilla. (Many reviewers cut back on the salt, but I idea they tasted fine with the amount shown in the recipe. I also added chocolate fries to half the cakes. The flavor after these modifications was great, notwithstanding, the texture left a chip to be desired. I thought these took a bit as well much elbow grease to cutting into. I may effort add together a fleck more baking powder to see if that fluffs them upwardly a bit, hopefully without altering the flavor. Overall, these taste proficient in a pinch!
04/02/2011
I should have known meliorate and read the reviews start before I had my husband make them. Too salty and also much baking powder. I gave it two stars considering I will try it over again and subtract the measurements this time.

Very easy, low-cal & buttery! Mine and my family'southward fav!
09/01/2009
These are great! I followed the suggestions of other reviewers & cutting the baking powder dorsum to ii teaspoons, & cut the salt back a little likewise. I've made these several times on Saturday mornings for my hubby & have made modest additional changes (based on what I have on hand or what mood I'm in :)), but the bones recipe is very simple & delicious, specially for someone who doesn't go on pancake mix on hand.
12/twenty/2010
These pancakes were like shooting fish in a barrel and pretty good. I did as the others suggested and cutting back on the baking powder (1 teaspoon) and salt (1/2 teaspoon), added a teaspoon of vanilla and a dash or two of nutmeg.
02/12/2014
Loved it! Fabricated information technology this morning, and the pancakes tasted great!
02/20/2010
only change is to apply 2 teaspoons of bp. if you have a nonstick pan you dont need the oil. good for any size pancake and i similar to add fruit-strawberries, blueberries, bananas...
08/23/2010
Too salty and as well much baking powder! Calculation 1 tsp of vanilla helps just if yous have to make three major changes to a recipe, then it is no longer the same recipe!
01/04/2009
Sitting with two good friends, enjoying a spectacular mountain view over breakfast - this feel can just be ruined by baking powdered pancakes! Unfortunately I did not read the reviews although we did question the obscene amount of table salt and baking pulverisation called for in this recipe - simply nosotros continued on trusting that everything is correct on the net. Warning: practice not beverage orange juice while eating the baking soda pancakes - it'south like choking on contaminated ocean water.
04/thirty/2012
This pancake recipe is the best I have e'er made. My married man raved over them. So easy, so flavourful and and so perfect. My simply addition was that I added a teaspoon of pure vanilla, otherwise nothing else changed. Thank you and then much!
01/27/2011
A proficient, simple starting indicate for scratch pancakes! I'm glad I checked the reviews before trying, ii tsp baking powder was the correct amount - also, I swapped melted butter for oil, added 2 tsp lemon juice and a nuance of cinnamon... My girls loved 'em!
02/07/2011
I added a footling less baking soda. I also added virtually a one-half cup of oatmeal and some cinnamon, and I merely cutting the flour down a little. They were great!
03/05/2008
This was skilful. I followed everyone's change and only added two tsp. of baking powder and a dash of salt. Too, 1 tsp of vanilla and some cinnamon. Good easy recipe.
01/19/2011
I loved this recipe. Of course I made the change for the baking powder; just I also halved the carbohydrate, deleted the oil and table salt, and added a tblspn of vanilla. This is a good change for those of us watching our sodium intake and trying to eat healthier without giving up everything that is proficient and tasty.
05/26/2007
I institute these much too salty. You lot may want to cut common salt in half.
01/28/2011
i made it spicy.. cutting down the sugar, added some pepper and turmeric pulverisation, used 2 teaspoons of baking powder.. and it came out quite prissy... adept with a pastry filling...

ten/22/2011

dandy base, simply I think the author meant 2 tsp of baking pulverisation. I used 2 tsp baking powder 2 tsp of butter in stead of oil 1/2 tsp of salt and really whipped the egg before folding it in and it was actually good.
12/06/2008
it's ridiculous that a recipe that calls for 2 tablespoons (when information technology ought to be 2 teaspoons) gets such loftier ratings. this is conspicuously a error, and the recipe should be corrected, considering making this recipe with the chosen for baking powder results in sour, soggy, crumbly pancakes.
07/28/2010
way too much baking powder and salt!
02/12/2011
i make these all the time upon many requests of the boyfriend. by adding more sugar and occational chocolate chips makes it a favorite
04/13/2008
The amounts of salt and baking powder in this recipe are manner off! I stuck to the recipe exactly, and the pancakes turned out awful! We couldn't even eat them! But, I will effort this again with the suggestions of other reviewers. Just a warning to other who desire to try this recipe-cut down on the baking powder and salt definitely! The pancakes looked peachy, though. With aligning this recipe could be a iv-star.
01/30/2011
I have tried so many recipes. I (and my husband) had just concluded that pancakes weren't my thing. These turned out great!!!!!! Finally a practiced recipe that is easy! He said they have a "Cracker Butt" taste.
02/04/2009
Dearest these pancakes & make them every weekend! Nice & fluffy. I apply flaxseed oil & substitute 1/4 cup of the flour with whole wheat flour for extra fiber. My kids call up they're swell....
12/07/2006
I make these all the time for myself and my children. We all love them. I leave out the oil, use merely 1 TBS of baking powder and simply a compression of salt. I freeze or refrigerate leftovers and popular them in the toaster for busy schoolhouse mornings.
01/25/2014
I am non a fan of recipes with a long list of ingredients. That is why I chose this one for our pancake breakfast. Be careful reading the recipe. I see a lot of people stating they reduced the baking powder from 2 tablespoons to 2 teaspoons. The recipe specifically states "2 teaspoons baking powder", which is acceptable. I do agree in cutting back on the common salt. I used merely a compression, and these pancakes are very easy. They came out fluffy and tasty!
11/04/2010
Substituted 1 1/2 loving cup of milk with condensed milk and used graham cracker for crust... delicious!
